Background & Experience:
Dr. Gordon completed his BA at Amherst College before earning his MD from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. His medical training includes an internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Hospital/Harvard University and a dermatology residency at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Gordon trained as a basic science immunologist studying antigen processing and presentation ion the laboratory of Stephen Miller, Ph.D. at Northwestern prior to starting his career in academic medicine. Over the years, Dr. Gordon has held prestigious positions at Northwestern University, where he co-founded the first integrated Psoriasis/Psoriatic Arthritis clinic in the United States, and Loyola University of Chicago. He directed clinical research at an institutional level at Northwestern prior to moving the Medical College of Wisconsin as Chair of Dermatology in 2016. There, his leadership has fostered innovation and collaboration across research, education, and clinical care. He recently stepped down from this position to put greater effort into MTC³ abut continues as a Professor of Dermatology at MCW pursuing clinical care in his area of expertise in inflammatory skin diseases and clinical research.

Dr. Gordon is internationally recognized for his expertise in psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and chronic inflammatory skin diseases. He has translated his early expertise and basic research in antigen processing and presentation as well as basic immunological pathways to help deepen understanding of mechanisms of action of new therapies for inflammatory disease. His work on biologics and immunomodulating therapies has led him to serve as a principal investigator for numerous landmark clinical trials and has well over 200 peer reviewed publications including first author publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Lancet, and JAMA. His integrated approach to treatment strategies offers patients and practitioners transformative insights into managing complex dermatological conditions.
